Must be met on or before the date of the written test: Candidates must be employed by the JURISDICTION IN WHICH PROMOTION IS SOUGHT and must be serving and have served continuously, in the jurisdiction in which promotion is sought, on a continuous basis in the non-competitive class for two years immediately preceding the date of the written test as CLEANER and, for promotion to the title of CUSTODIAN such service must continue to the date of appointment. NOTE: Part-time employees who meet the minimum qualifications would qualify for this promotion.

SENIORITY: One tenth (.10) of a point will be added to a passing score for each six months of continuous permanent competitive class service (such service to include time served in the examination title on provisional promotion basis) in the jurisdiction in which promotion is sought, up to a maximum of twenty years (4 points). Such service must continue to the date of appointment.
